Let me share a quick story from when I started out on HubSpot.
There was a time when I had never heard of HubSpot. I remember working for a small startup that was using a homegrown CRM. It was about ~5 years ago and I was handling all of the sales and marketing activities. I recommended moving over to HubSpot after evaluating options, and got to work implementing it. Starting out, I had no idea what I didn’t know. I clicked around and managed to figure out the basics. I went through a couple HubSpot Academy Certifications and learned how to use the ins and outs of the software.
The next company I worked for was a fast growing startup. Their usage of HubSpot was wildly different. I continued to push HubSpot to its limits, introducing processes and automations across the entire customer journey.
When I started helping companies with their HubSpot as a consultant, I thought I knew HubSpot; only to realize how much I had yet to learn. Looking back there was no certification that could have prepared me for the challenges and best practices that existed in the “real world”. I relied on creative problem solving skills and learning from more season HubSpot pros.
And after working in HubSpot as a Power User and Consultant for years, I’m still learning new things everyday.
I realized there were 2 ways to learn HubSpot:
- On your own, making mistakes. Being reactive with requests that come in.

What happens after I enroll?
After enrolling, you will be sent an email containing next steps.
This email contains the course syllabus, start dates & times, a link to join our Slack Community.
You'll also be sent a link to an assessment that will help us gauge your current skill level with HubSpot.
Lastly you'll be invited to an optional event held over Zoom where you can meet the instructor and some of your fellow students!
A calendar invite will be sent with the details to join each class session.
What does it mean to be a HubSpot Maestro?
HubSpot Maestros represent the top 10% of HubSpot users worldwide. They are people who are committed to professional growth and who enjoy learning new things.
How is this different than HubSpot Academy?
We love HubSpot Academy. We are built for people who to prefer to have a choice between live and on-demand learning.
Most people find that the guided learning of working directly with an instructor and the accountability of the group helps them learn better than trying to figure everything out themselves.
All Master The Flywheel Instructors have worked as a HubSpot Partner employee. Often, HubSpot Academy instructors are product experts who know how the product is designed to work but lack real world experience in helping clients implement and apply the products.
The best way to think about it is would you rather learn from the professor who is an expert researcher OR a professor that has spent years working in the field?
